Year 4 Brass Performance

Year 4 children are learning to play the trumpet or trombone this year as a whole class. The lessons are taught by a specialist brass tutor from Sutton Music Service, Mr Meyers. The children have been learning to read different rhythms and play notes using different combinations of valves (on the trumpet) or different slide positions (on the trombone). This piece is called C Jam Blues.

Year 3 Ukulele Performance

The children have also learnt to play the G chord and how to switch between C and G quickly to play pieces. This piece, Row Row Row your boat, uses both chords.

This audio clip, A Sailor went to Sea, demonstrates their knowledge of dynamics (volume) and how to play the C chord.
