Autumn 1 – Week 2
1. Reading – Please ensure you have completed at least 3 boxes in your reading diary every week, that you have read with an adult at home at least once a week and that it is signed by an adult at home at the end of the week.
2. Please complete at least 20 minutes a week on Times Tables Rock Stars online – scan the QR code below to be taken to the website. Try to ensure you are completing at least 1 ‘Soundcheck’ at home each week also. (If you do not have access to TTRS on a device at home, please let your class teacher know and they will print off a paper copy for you to complete. You will not need to hand this in)
3. Spellings – your spellings this week contain words with the /aw/ sound that is spelt augh and au. We have sent 10 spellings with these sounds in for your child to practice and there will be a mini test on these next Friday. You do not need to hand these in.
4. Next week, we will be selecting 2 children to be our Pupil Parliament members. The children will be asked to speak to their class about the following 2 statements:
This school is a special place because...
I would like to be on Pupil Parliament because...
Please speak with your child this weekend so that they are ready to finish these statements if they would like to be considered.

Spellings – your spellings this week contain the names of adults that will be working in class with us (on the reverse page is an explanation of their role, you do not need to practice how to spell their role, it is just so that you can talk about it with your grown up at home!) Please practise these at home, you do not need to hand these in.

We will update this page each week with our weekly home learning task and our weekly spellings. We will also be asking you to complete 20 minutes of Times Tables Rock Stars at home each week. If you do not have a device to practice on at home, please can you let your class teacher know and we will send home a paper copy each week for you!
