Over this half term, we will be testing children on a range of the KS1 Statutory words (found in their reading records). These are the words children are required to be able to spell by the end of Year 2. Please have ongoing practise with these, in addition to the spelling rules set each week.

We are changing the format of expectations for learning at home. Each week, children will continue to be sent home spellings to practise and please still read every night where possible. You can find these spellings below and children will be tested the following Friday.

From now on, every week they will also bring home some Times Tables to practise - they can see how many they get right each go or time themselves to complete it faster than the day before! Encourage them to cover up their previous tries so they can't copy them! You can also find these below and we will do a Times Table Check after our spelling test every Friday.
