We have arrived at SATs week! The children have worked so hard so we want them to relax this weekend, ready for the week ahead. We have attached some fun challenges below and can't wait to hear and see which ones the children complete!

Please continue with the maths and English revision packs children were given over the Easter holidays.

Please also keep up with reading as much as possible and practise the words from the statutory word list! (This is a list of words that children are required to know how to spell by the end of Year 6.) This can be found below if you have lost your copy.

Home Learning - 01.04.22 and Easter Holidays

Children have been given some maths and English revision packs to complete over the Eater holidays - they are designed for only 10 minutes each day! Please also keep up with reading as much as possible. 

This week, we would like children to continue with their WWII project for their homework once again. The idea is that, by the end, we have a whole project about WWII! This will be completed on PowerPoint on their Winbooks. We have explained what children need to add into the Teams chat. Children will need to add to their existing PowerPoint presentations and should read any feedback from teachers!

This next stage of the WWII project homework needs to be completed no later than Thursday 31st March 2022. If children have any issues with their homework, please encourage them to come and talk to us and we will be more than happy to go through it with them. 

Children will be tested on their spellings on Friday 1st April 2022.

To tie in with World Book Day next week, we have also asked the children to pick a word they do not know from the book they are reading and to explore it. More information about this can be found on the assignment on Teams.

Home Learning - 11.02.22

We have been so impressed with children's effort this term that we have decided not to set any homework to complete over half term, other than to make sure they continue to read regularly - at least three or four times over the week would be great! 

If your child would like to keep up with their work over the week, the CGP guides that some of you have purchased would be a good idea.

We have decided not to set children any homework this week due to having our mock SATs this week - instead, we would like them to do something they love! This could be baking a cake, playing with friends or going on a bike ride. They deserve a break!
