As part of the Walk to School initiative, Rushy Meadow took part in a Nationwide competition called the Big Pedal run by Sunstrans: https://bigpedal.org.uk/
Every day over a ten day period, teachers recorded the number of pupils who were walking, cycling or scooting to school and being active after school.
I am delighted to say that the official results are in, and I am so pleased with them. Out of all of the schools in Greater London, Rushy Meadow came 2nd with 97.03% of children walking, scooting or traveling to school. Out of all the schools nationwide, Rushy Meadow came 13th.
WOW! Well done to all our pupils that helped us reach this position.
Thank you for all your support - next week is national walk to school week - let's see if we can get 100% of pupils walking, cycling or scooting to school.
Thank you to Mrs Green who has been leading on these projects.
